About a year and a half ago, I made a New Years resolution to write one letter everyday to someone who impacted my life. At the end of the year, I bundled the letters together and sent them off to their respective homes. The goal of this was to make myself realize how many people impact my life every single day. It was inspired by my friend Clare who keeps a “Smile Jar” with little notes of all the things that made her smile. I liked that idea, but wanted to be able to share the results with everyone I loved at the end of the year. I wrote my last letter on the last day of December in 2013. Since then, I’ve been looking for another project similar. That’s where this comes in.
I’ve decided to blog about one thing I love everyday for one year. And because it’s online and everyone can see it, I’ll hopefully keep up. So today, what I love is letters (I’m talking about letters in terms of notes, but the alphabet is cool too). I love writing letters to people and I love receiving them even more. There’s something so personal about getting a letter sent non-digitally to you. Call me crazy (cause I am), but I’d much rather receive one letter a month from someone than 25 texts a day. This is also the way to win me over so take notes.
