…when you’re a member of the School of Theatre’s freshmen class, that is. I love how much time we all spend together, in the same space, often physically working with one another; we’re close. Unfortunately, being close is both a blessing and a curse. When one of us is sick, it’s just a matter of time before the rest of us get it too.
Last week, one person caught some kind of virus which had her out for multiple days. So of course, the rest of us are now getting it as well. Saturday night, my throat starting hurting and by Sunday evening, I was running a high fever which continued on for two more days. Today is the first day that I haven’t felt like complete shit.
Thankfully (or maybe not, I don’t know), I’m not in this alone. About 10 of us are currently sick and while it sucks, it’s also nice to know that many of my friends are in the same boat as me. We’re all in the same plague-infested, high-fever-running, nauseating boat, and these people are the only ones I’d ever agree to sail with.
