Winter is the season of rejuvenation and change. For me, the cold season has always been a time to reset and start new things. Since December is the first month of winter (and the last month of the year!) it’s a good time for me to refocus on my own self care and improvement.
Recently I’ve been feeling down about my body and how I look. Call me shallow (one of my professors recently did), but physical appearance has always been something I’ve thought about. Especially being in theatre, my look is vital to the work I do.
So as a treat to myself, I’ve been changing little bits of my look. I got lash extensions, I’ve committed to a new skincare routine, and best of all, I’ve started whitening my teeth.
Teeth whitening has always been something I’ve been interested in, but not something I ever thought I would get the chance to try! Lucky for me, Smile Brilliant reached out to partner with me and I’ve been fortunate to get the chance to try out their products!
How Smile Brilliant Works
Unlike classic home whitening packages, Smile Brilliant makes you your own trays to fit your teeth. When you receive the package, the first thing to do is make the molds and then mail them back to the lab. About a week later, you receive your trays! After that, whitening is done easily using the syringes and trays.
I’ve been using the Smile Brilliant whitening package for about two weeks now and I love it. I try to whiten every other night (sometimes every three nights) because my gums tend to get too sensitive if I do it every night. I’ve noticed a visibly huge difference in the color of my teeth from before I started to now, and it’s been so nice to get compliments from others on how white my teeth are! I am an avid coffee drinker (one to two cups a day) and red wine is my go-to drink, so the fact that I haven’t had to give up either one and that I still have seen results is huge!
I want to encourage you all to try it yourselves! Follow this link to enter my giveaway to win your own whitening kit! And if you’re way too eager to wait, use the code whatsheisk for $20 off the whitening trays! (*Open to USA, UK, Australia, and Canadian residents.)
For me, my experience with teeth whitening has been really positive. My results have given me an extra boost of confidence during a time when I desperately need it. I don’t think this makes me shallow at all. I think that being able to admit that at this point in my life I want to feel good about the way I look makes me honest.
