A few years ago, I was getting sick constantly. It wasn’t like I was on my deathbed or anything close, but I seemed to have a perpetual head cold, the symptoms of which were worsened by over the counter allergy medications (this is how I found out what hives were). What finally got me through my sickness was healthy eating and having a balanced diet. I’ve replaced most artificial sugars with natural ones, I eat salads regularly, I use almond milk (yeah I know how controversial this is right now), and quinoa is my favorite. Aside from the occasional french fry or cupcake, I’m pretty healthy.
These past few days, I’ve felt incredibly not-so-okay. Rather than looking at what diseases or infections I might have, I’d like to attribute it to my shitty, non-healthy eating habits this week. I haven’t been eating a balanced diet, or even eating regular meals at all and my caffeine intact has been sickeningly high. All of this added together makes for a very unwell human being. So this post is dedicated to health food and healthy eating because without it, I’d probably be constantly ill.
