I’ve been back in Arizona for almost three weeks now, which is mostly why I’ve been so MIA. I’ve been spending a ton of time teaching barre classes, running errands, and letting the holidays completely kick my ass. But I think one of the coolest things I’ve done since I’ve been back is check out the Art of Ice Cream Experience in Scottsdale.
This ice cream themed, interactive exhibit was created by various Arizona artists. My parents, Thea, Henry, and I all had to check it out as soon as we heard about it.
Each room was designed by a different artist and had various ice cream based products for you to try. The first room was a boxing ring, complete with ice cream cone boxing gloves.
The next was a room with a large ball pit and all pink accessories. Thea accidentally lost her phone in the ball pit, but we found it eventually.
Upstairs was my favorite room, wall-papered in bananas with a huge banana split in the center. We were offered mini milkshakes and in the room over, there was a thrown with a huge whip cream canister. Still farther on was a small basketball court where the balls were made to look like scoops of ice cream!
Back downstairs as you exited, we were offered full scoops of ice cream and could decorate a wall sized coloring page.
Overall, the experience was such an interesting concept for me. I loved all of the different colors and array of activities throughout the museum, and I totally want that banana wallpaper for my own house! If you’re in Arizona, check it out before the end of 2018 when it’s set to close!
